News about the Zeppelin Europe Tours Project
Currently we are in negotiations with several investor groups. The sphere of interest of these groups would complement
each other ideally. Thereby, airships of the type Zeppelin NT N07 would also be utilized.
Time and again, the investors ask why the Zeppelin Luftschifftechnik shareholders do not contribute
to the financing of such an interesting project.
The airport Neuhardenberg was acquired with the insolvency assets of Grundwert Brandenburg GmbH
by an investor group from Denmark. The group is very interested in the Zeppelin Europe Tour shipyard at the airport Neuhardenberg and also in the project itself.
Unfortunately, the building permission (filing of the application was 11.11.2005 !!!) has still not been
approved although all prerequisites for it have been fulfilled. It is obvious how much time we would
gain in the course of the Z-Project by the having filed the application at an early stage, considering we can
start the project in the near future. The long running time of the project is a recurring discussion issue
of the Z-Project. The Z-Team assumes that the planning and building permission will be approved soon.
The Netherlands' Z-Site representative Erwin Krijger chartered the Zeppelin NT for preparation of the Zeppelin Europe Tours from November 4 - 6, 2007.
The airship was stationed at Rotterdam airport. This was combined with an airship symposium in the airport building Rotterdam where we introduced the Z-Project to investors, authorities and the press in detail. Although the weather was not really airship friendly (fog) and the Zeppelin NT had a technical problem on one
occasion, the feedback was very good. Erwin Krijger carried out tourist sightseeing flights and
incentive flights for companies. The airship passengers were enthusiastic, press and television
reported very positively and in detail. We believe that a Z-Site can be established in Rotterdam very
soon. Similar activities are currently being considered by our site representatives in Dresden and Prague.
There has been some progress at other Z-Sites, for example in Berlin/Tempelhof. After four years of
silence and stalling the Senate Office is now showing interest in the project. As well in North Rhine-Westphalia, where we
have found a Z-Site representative with profound knowledge of the local conditions, aeronautics and
the operation of airships.
The Z-Team is still strongly committed and pursuing the goal of putting through a continuative deal with one or multiple investors.
